Vivo V5 with 20MP front camera launched in India, pre-order starts Nov 16

Vivo has launched the flagship Vivo V5 with 20MP front-facing snapper at Rs. 17,980. According to sources, the Vivo V5 is the first handset to ship with a 20MP sensor. Moreover, the Moonlight Glow feature produces a natural glow on the face without any eye strain. This feature will enable you to capture stunning pictures even in low-light conditions.

The phone will be available for pre-booking starting November 16 till 25. It will go on sale from November 26.

Commenting on the launch of the Vivo V5, Kent Cheng, CEO, Vivo India disclosed that with the launch of V5, the company has added a new dimension and sets its focus on emerging camera technology. This offers an unprecedented camera experience. Cheng added that V5 ships with the first-ever 20 MP front-facing camera that takes flawless pictures in naturally vivid colors.

Vivo V5 highlights

The main highlight of Vivo V5 is that the phone enables you to capture every frame accurately without making them grainy, distorted or flooded with hard flash. In addition to the 20MP rear camera, the Vivo V5 features a 13MP rear camera with Face beauty mode 6.0.

The Vivo V5 also offers Smart Screen-Split feature, which enables you to multitask without having to switch back and forth every time a message pops up. You will be able to chat and watch videos in one single display. We are sure that our new offering is all set to create a new benchmark and will be widely accepted by customers and redefine the selfie experience, added Cheng.

Vivo V5 Specifications

Talking about the specifications, the Vivo V5 features a 5.5-inch HD 2.5D corning gorilla glass display, Octa-core 64-bit processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB expandable internal storage powered by a 3000mAh battery. You can extend the storage up to 128GB. Moreover, the V5 is loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on top of Funtouch OS 2.6.

The handset also provides support for Eye Protection Mode feature, which filters out blue light. This will enable you to read content easily without any eye strain.

As mentioned above, the phone ships with a 20MP front-facing snapper and 13MP rear camera sensor to provide an unmatched experience. Furthermore, the fifth edition of Vivo phone is equipped with an integrated AK4376 Hi-Fi audio chip. This provides an unparalleled sound quality experience by providing a signal-to-noise ratio of up to 115dB.

The fingerprint sensor included with the Vivo V5 enables you to unlock the display in just 0.2 seconds. Even though the phone is launched, you will be able to buy it from retail stores from November 26 onwards at Rs. 17,980.
