Microsoft rolls out Windows 10 Mobile Build 15025 for Fast Ring Insiders

Microsoft starts rolling out Windows 10 Mobile Build 15025 for Insiders who’ve enrolled themselves in the Fast Ring. The build is now available for download on Windows 10 Mobile as well, as Microsoft also rolled out a PC build for the same earlier this week.

Just like its PC version, Windows Mobile Build 15052 primarily focuses on bug fixes and performance improvements. That said, several key features set to arrive with the upcoming Creators Update have also been included in this mobile build. For instance, the Edge browser will get the ability to read aloud your ebooks. All you need to do is just press the read aloud button located on the top right corner once you’ve opened the ebook. The Edge browser then starts reading that ebook aloud. It’s also worth mentioning that the feature will support up to 24 languages.

Besides, the browser also supports a mono audio feature to help the visually impaired. To activate the feature, just head over to Settings > Ease of Access > Other options.

Microsoft explains that mono mode will direct all audio to both ears, specially created for visually impaired users who use one ear to hear sound on their device.

Besides, fixes and performance improvements, Windows 10 Mobile Build 15025 has its share of known issues. As Insiders are saying, they see error 80080008 when trying to download and install the new build Microsoft says that a fix for this issue would arrive in the next build. Until then, Insiders who wish to download build 15025 on their mobiles are advised to back up all their important files before installing this build.

Other changes, improvements, and fixes for Mobile

We fixed an issue resulting in the Outlook Mail and Calendar tiles sometimes no longer updating for some Insiders until the tile had been resized.

Known issues for Mobile

Speech packs will be unable to download on this build.
The ninja cat emoji display in two characters on the keyboard instead of the expected one.
Adding a new card / paying with an existing card will not work in Microsoft Wallet.
Microsoft Edge might sometimes unexpectedly not rotate into landscape mode. If this happens, try quickly locking and unlocking your phone.
ADDED: Some Insiders have reported hitting error 80080008 when trying to download/install the update. We’ve discovered the cause of this issue and a fix is in the works, but won’t be available until a newer build is delivered.
