Huawei just announced its most affordable dual rear camera phone in the form of the Honor 6X for. The smartphone gets a price tag of $249.99 in the US, and will be available for purchase on Amazon, BestBuy, Newegg, and HiHonor.
Launched in China back in October, the Honor 6X was announced yesterday for other global markets as well including the US, UK, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, the Czech Republic, India, Russia, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

Key specification of the smartphone include a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display. Under the hood, the smartphone gets powered by the new 2.1Ghz Kirin 655 processor bundled with Mali T830MP2 GPU. It comes in two varints – one featuring 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, while the other gets 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage.
The USP of the device is undeniably its dual-camera setup, making it the company’s most affordable dual camera phone till date. It sports twin rear cameras similar to the Honor 8 and the Huawei P9. The Honor 6X has a 12MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary camera at the rear. It also lets you adjust focus right after clicking an image, called the bokeh effect also found on the iPhone 7 Plus. On the front, the device packs an 8MP front-facing shooter for taking selfies. Other key features on the phone include a fingerprint sensor and 3340 mAh battery. The Honor 6X currently ships with Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box, though an Android Nougat update is also on the cards.
Honor 6X to get Android Nougat with EMUI 5.0 in Q2 2017
During the phone’s official unveiling yesterday at a pre-CES event, Huawei also confirmed that the phone will get upgraded to the latest Android Nougat update sometime in second quarter of 2017. Apart from the Nougat 7.1.1 update, the Honor 6X will also get the next EMUI 5.0 skin when the update arrives later.
