The iPad Mini has been launched by Apple and pre-orders for the device have already begun. However the White and Silver iPad Mini’s are sold out. It is now advertised in the Apple’s online store that the White and Silver models will be shipped in two weeks.
The White models in all versions are now sold out and as of today the Black and Slate version is available for sale and it will be delivered on Friday next week. The Cellular Capable models will not be shipped until the middle of November.
The iPad Mini as announced this week at a gala event in California Theater, San Jose, California. Apple had launched the iPhone 5 last month and it was available in Black and Slate colors. The ipad Mini is also available in Black, Slate, White, and Silver. The iPad Mini is available in 16, 32 and 64 GB storage versions.
Most market watchers have made big predictions for the iPad Mini and hope that it will sell in millions during the last quarter of 2012. With market sentiments high due to the forthcoming festive season, Apple will have a good chance of turning the iPad Mini into a successful brand.
The sticking point is the price which has led to a cold reception of the iPad Mini from the general consumer. Most Apple products are considered to be of a premium range and suited for the elite. This was for the first time that Apple has ventured into the budget Tablet segment of 7 inch displays. The steep price of $329 did not go well with the consumers though most analysts feel that the cost is justified due to the better build quality, sturdy software, and a vast range of third-party applications available on the iOS App Store.
The iPad Mini boasts a 7.9 inch screen and a thin bezel which enables it to be held in one hand. It is 7.2 mm thick and weighs a mere 0.68 pounds. This is 68% less than the standard iPad which justifies its name as iPad Mini.
