Toshiba Thrive Tablet is a 10 inch tab from Toshiba is running the latest Honeycomb Android 3.1 processor. It’s got the same specs as every other Android tablet on the market. The first and only table to house a full HDMI port, micro USB, Full USB port, and full SD card port is the Thrive. The 1.6-pound Toshiba Thrive tablet is noticeably thicker than the 1.33-pound Apple iPad 2 and 1.25-pound Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1.
The Thrive offers reasonably sharp images and 16M colors with the 10.1-inch, 1280 x 800 capacitive LED backlight touch screen. Toshiba says the LED backlit display is not IPS, but it shares some characteristics such as wide viewing angles.
Toshiba Thrive Tablet running Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS has Dual core 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor with GeForce graphics, 1GB of RAM, internal memory of 8GB/16GB/32GB and micro SD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB. It offers 2MP front facing camera for video chat and 5MP rear camera with Flash allow you to capture videos at a high-definition rate of 720 pixels.
You can play videos from online video sharing sites like DailyMotion, YouTube and Google Videos very easy and smoothly with Adobe Flash 10.2 playback. It also supports video formats like MPEG-4, H.263 and H.264 formats and audios in the format Mp3, AAC, WMA, eAAC+, Ogg Vorbis, WAV.
The Thrive tablet sports a Li-Ion Standard Battery, which is user-removable and can be swapped out, replaced. When the battery is fully charged provides you with it would last for 7 hours of continuous video playback and the full recharge is done in half an hour of time.
The ports make the Toshiba Thrive different. Headset jacks sits on the right side of the chassis and, on the left side sits a full-size SD card reader, under a port cover, are full-size USB, mini USB, and full-size HDMI-out ports.
Toshiba Thrive Tablet is packed with WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth with the latest v 3.0, a GPS, USB 2.0, the built-in stereo speakers with SRS Premium voice suite and 3.5 mm stereo headphone jack. The other features of Toshiba Thrive Tablet include Toshiba-branded file manager, Resolution Plus Software, Google Search by voice, Android Market, G-Talk, G-mail, Google Maps with Street View, Adobe Flash support, Picasa, QuickOffice, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, gyroscope, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, Digital Compass and LogMeIn Apps.
