Android fans are eagerly waiting for the roll out of the KitKat, which is known in technical jargon as Android 4.4. With the launch of the iOS 7 by Apple it is important that Google also pulled out something incredible from its hat. Google has launched its latest iteration of its Android OS platform along with the Nexus 5 which is the latest handset of the Nexus Smartphone range. It is also the second Nexus device which is being manufactured by LG.
The Android 4.4 has just been released and already Google is rumored to be working on the Android 4.4.1 update patch up for its latest Android OS. The rumor has been sourced to a member of the XDA developer forums who unearthed codes for Android 4.4.1 which are meant to nullify the translucent menu bars of the Nexus 10 Tablet since Google is having some problem in integrating the feature in its bigger tablets.
Another bit of info has been gleaned by the tech blog Myce from a careless Google employee who has revealed the build under development. Myce also has noticed the KOT31B build in Google’s Chromium issue tracker.
Myce further reports, “The issue was first marked with the Google-Restrict-View label which makes it only readable to Google employees but the label was later removed. The build is only a week old and could be the sign we’ll see a 4.4.1 version.”
The K could signify the KitKat version and the T31 could mean that the build is from October 31st. HTC One Google version is getting Android 4.4 KitKat along with the Google version of Samsung Galaxy S4 within next 15 days whereas the HTC One with HTC Sense 5.5 and Galaxy S4 with Samsung’s Touchwiz UI will get the Android 4.4 KitKat update within the next 90 days as told by the officials of respective manufacturers.
Samsung has release an update schedule that indicates Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 will be the first devices to receive Android 4.4 KitKat update whereas Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2, and Galaxy Mega series smartphones will receive only the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean by the that time.
Google Nexus 4, Nexus 7, and Nexus 10 will be receiving the Android 4.4 KitKat update soon.
The Android 4.4 KitKat has an important feature which is the advanced photo-editing suite which is compatible with both smartphones and tablets. The latest feature allows users to apply predefined looks, alter the geometry, saturation and applied filters. The best feature of this application is that it is reversible and can be reverted to the original at any time. The application can be used for processing, zooming, re-edit, image exports; user presets and also features numerous specialized tools.
