Apple has recently opened the curtain of its latest item iPad Air. It is lighter, thinner as well as more potent than its earlier versions and it is certainly the best iPad ever, but that does not astonish anyone. What is more appealing besides this is how actually it compares to recent big competition.  And the competitor is the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 which is 2014 Edition. It is the most powerful Android tablet available now.

The iPad Air actually counters with the weight of only 469 grams, what is absolute stunning accomplishment for all aluminum slates. Its thinner bezels along with the straightened up edge make this look prettier than earlier, and that is something the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 rivals lack. On the other side, the big-size tablet has never been this much saturated as well as has never face such competition so fierce. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is now fully equipped with state-of-the-art S-Pen stylus.

This was obviously written by an Apple fanboy . Every IPad feature is glamorized and trumped-up while the galaxy note features even though specs wise they’re obviously better are written about in a bland and boring way. Example “iPad Air brings 9.7 inches retina LCD display. While Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has brought 10.1 inches screen display.” Why not mention the the type of display the Note 10.1 or the resolution rate?

Wow… I entered a post with factual data and claimed this comparison is sparse by providing data of my own about both devices and it got deleted… How sad…

  • Cory Ducey

The comparison in terms of what both of these devices offer is sparse at best. For example, despite the larger screen, the Note still boasts a larger ppi which translates to a clearer picture. The “iSight” camera is 5 MP, 2592 x 1944 pixels, while the Note has an 8 MP, 3264×2448 pixels, autofocus, LED flash. Adversely, the Air has a tougher glass with fingerprint resistant coating and has a larger battery. The build quality of the Air is better, but the Note isn’t a slouch. Not metal sure but a solid build nonetheless. Anybody that wants to read the specifications if these devices in what I like to call detail, please go to gsmarena.com, select Compare and choose both of these devices.

Overall both devices are good but the Air is lacking on many aspects for the price you have to pay.

I like both Apple iPad and the Note series for both of their strong points…But to say that the Air is the most hearty selection due to the ecosystem and amount of accessories is almost laughable.

The Android ecosystem is getting better, Amazon also offers its own app store for more options, and accessories for a tablet is virtually a moot point given blue tooth devices are mostly universal, and a proper case, rather than a cheap case is more preferable when someone wants to protect their expensive device.

While the Air is a nice tablet, the Note edges this out on versatility hands down.
