The HTC One Max is touted to be the phablet which is going to lock horns with the upcoming Galaxy Note 3 from Samsung. The HTC One Max has been leaked many times in the past and has seen another leak today.
The Samsung Galaxy Note was introduced and was followed by Galaxy Note 2 and Samsung is all set to release the Galaxy Note 3 on September 4th. However this time it is facing stiff competition from not one but two devices, the HTC One Max and the Xperia Z Ultra. Samsung is rumored to increase the screen size in the Galaxy Note 3.
HTC One Max will be a direct competitor to the Galaxy Note 3. Last year also saw HTC launch its HTC One X+ to take on the Galaxy Note 2. The HTC One Max has been talked about some time now with leaks surfacing now and then. Today’s leak happens to come out of China and confirms all the HTC One Max features which have been rumored till now.
The leak has been sourced from Mobile .3G.cn and reveals that the HTC One Max will have a number of premium features. The HTC One Max is reported to have a 5.9 inch 1080p screen along with the Ultra Pixel camera which was first seen in the HTC One smartphone. The HTC One Max will be powered by a Quad Core CPU and will have a 2GB RAM. The phablet will have a microSD Card Slot. However it is not sure if this feature will be available in US models. The HTC One Max will be featuring NFC and so also ‘4G LTE’ compatibility. The device will be running on the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean version and will also have Sense 5.5.
It is not clear what the Sense 5.5 is and what it entails. The HTC One Max was earlier reported to feature the stylus just like the S-Pen featured on the Galaxy Note 2 and the Sense 5.5 can be something related to it. The HTC One Max also does not feature the finger print scanner.
The HTC One Max still does not seem to have a launch date or at least there have been no rumors about it. It could most probably see a launch sometime in October or November window when the consumer buying sentiments are at their peak due to the festive season.
