The international variant of Optimus L9 was treated with the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update back in mid-March. However, the Jelly Bean update was not made available for T-Mobile branded Optimus L9, which threw all the carrier’s Optimus L9 customers into the clouds of sadness. But here is good news for all disappointed T-Mobile users. The carrier has begun rolling out the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for its Optimus L9.
This Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean comes with baseband version P76920d. The update is 350MB in size and is made available over-the-air. The users will be getting notification about this update anytime soon. Meantime, they can check for the update manually by navigating to Menu -> Settings -> About device -> System update. It’s advised to connect to Wi-Fi for installing this update because it measures whopping 350MB in size.
T-Mobile has not told anything about the features that users will be getting on their LG Optimus L9 by installing this update. Since this is Jelly Bean update, so of course, by installing it, the users will be tasting the features like expanded notifications, Google Now, improved widgets etc.
Just in the case you forgot, LG Optimus L9 originally runs Android 4.0.0 Ice Cream Sandwich version. So, the device misses many incredible software features, which it will be getting via this update. This is why the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update means a lot to T-Mobile Optimus L9 owners.
