Sony PlayStation 4 hardware will be shown at the E3 in June

The PlayStation 4 unveiling by Sony did not see much of the actual hardware being revealed. It is true Sony showed the new DualShock 4 controller. However Sony did not show the Gaming Console. It did not even show the mockup of the console leaving many experts wondering the need for unveiling the device if its components were not ready. Sony probably wanted to pre-empt any gains which will be accrued by Microsoft whose Xbox 720 is said to be far ahead in terms of features as well as specs in comparison to the PlayStation 3.

It is now being rumored that Sony will debut the actual PlayStation hardware in June at the E3. Sony will have to get its act soon and complete the PlayStation 4 by June if it wants to release the Gaming Console by the festive season in November or December.

The delay or the lack of knowledge about the PlayStation 4 has placed the retailers in a un-envious position since they want to take the pre-orders. Numerous retailers are fine tuning their selling strategy for the PlayStation 4 but are hampered by the lack of details of either the hardware of the device or its price tags.

A well known retailer, GameStop, has announced something which has been named as ‘PS4 First to Know List’, which affords the latest news about the PlayStation 4 and related titles.  It will provide the consumers who want to buy the Gaming Console important information pertaining to the opening of the pre-orders.

    but what is the point if the xbox infinity/720 etc is not technically as good as the ps4 if the ps4 is more expensive and takes about 2 years to be released in the UK. Remember the farce of the PS3? and how long it took sony to get it released to the world then how long it took them to get it released to the UK? Sony just have not got a good track record when it comes to releasing products. Now they show us a console only they don’t show it to us or tell us how much it will cost or even tell us much about the specs. they just hope we will all blindly say we will buy it Sony no matter how much it costs or what it looks like”. At least when Apple release a new product they tell us how much it costs, what it looks like etc. I am not buying the PS4 or the Xbox 720 out of pure spite. they are both as bad as each other. Tech specs are not the be all and end all people, hence why the nintendo wii outsold the xbox 360 and ps3 for years.

    Sony had a good plan to stay under the radar from their rival Microsoft.Sony not only kept their information about PS4 very secret but also started working on PS4 before the rumors about PS4 spread around.Sony stroke with good timing,rushing Microsoft to develop and keep up with Sony’s release in November or December of 2013.with that happening, people expect to see/have problems with the XBOX720,having Sony climb up the ladder on sales and popularity without a strong rival being on their toes.though it will not be for long until Microsoft recalls or fixes up and either update or upgrade their XBOX 720′s,Microsoft always fixes their systems after a failure,that’s how Microsoft stays as Sony’s rival.
