Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy S Advance was rolled out in Russia in the first week of January 2013. It was expected to arrive in other parts of the country soon, but there’s nothing much heard about it until now.
All we know about the Jelly Bean update in Galaxy S Advance is that some tentative timeframes are revealed by the company. Samsung Ukraine published a post recently showing some tentative dates for when the Jelly Bean update would roll out outside Russia.

Samsung Galaxy S Advance is also in the list with a tentative release date of February 18, 2013 for the Jelly Bean update. While the date is still tentative, it’s confirmed that the device will get the Jelly Bean update for sure, sooner or later.
The expected Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy S Advance will bring some new features as well as performance improvements.
The update will include features like:
- Project Butter making Jelly Bean the fastest Android OS.
- Google Now
- Touch Wiz Nature interface similar to Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3
- Many Touch Wiz related features and apps
This Jelly Bean update will reportedly also fix some bugs in Samsung Galaxy S Advance.
That’s all we know about this update for now. While Samsung Ukraine has reported the tentative release date for Samsung Galaxy S Advance, there is still no news about the release date of Galaxy S2 update and Original Galaxy Note. The original Galaxy Note is believed to receive Android 4.2 Jelly Bean sometime in March 2013.
