Sony has done good justice with the features, but the Design is what bringing the Sony Xperia Tablet Z into news. The flagship tablet from Sony is just 6.9mm thick. This makes it thinner tablet than iPad, the world’s best tablet known till date. Not only the thickness, but the weight also is a plus point in its feature-set. With only 495 grams weight, Sony Xperia Tablet Z is the lightest 10.1 inch tablet of all times. The tablet is water and dust resistant, so it is most expected to see plastic flaps covering all ports in it. The tablet will be hitting the market in two models, one being black and other being white.

The primary camera in this newly announced tablet is 8MP with autofocus and 3264×2448 pixels resolution. It comes with features like Geo-tagging, face detection and touch focus. Operating System

The rumors were indicating it to come up with latest version of Android, but actual announcement goes slightly lower as Sony Xperia Tablet Z runs Android v4.1 Jelly Bean. It’s upgradable to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The ROMs’ developers’ interest about Sony Xperia Tablet Z would be interesting thing to see. The maker Sony has not announced or signaled anything about the price of its upcoming Sony Xperia Tablet Z, but it is expected to come up with price tag of same as of company’s Xperia Z smartphone. Roughly around $800 to $850. Well, Sony would be looking to come up  with as lower price tag as possible, even if it would have to cut down a small part of margin. The price tag would be the best determining factor of its success.

Sony will release this tablet in Japan in the Spring. The release in other countries will follow date. So people of countries not named Japan would get a chance to have this tablet in their hands after a shot while of the Spring.
