The CES 2013 has been witness to a number of high profile launches. The scene has been dominated by TV with Gigantic screens, revolutionary processors such as the Exynos 5 Octo and flexible displays. The event also saw the launch of many exotic and robust cameras. Olympus is a well known name and manufactures some of the best cameras in the world. Olympus had a major presence in this year’s CES event.
Olympus showcased its flagship the STYLUS TOUGH TG-2 iHS, which has been describes as one of the most sturdy and rugged Cameras in existence and is almost indestructible. The STYLUS TOUGH TG-2 his is a worthy successor to the Olympus TOUGH TG-1 his. The Camera features the f/2.0 high speed lens.
The STYLUS TOUGH TG-2 iHS features a 12 megapixel, Backlit CMOS sensor and DSLR TruePic 6 image processor. Another feature of the camera is its ability to boost the Zoom magnification from 4X to 14X with the help of the Microscopic Macro function. The camera will hit the shelves for sale in March 2013 in the US. It will be available in two colors- Black and Red.
The Second Camera which has been displayed by Olympus at the CES 2013 is the STYLUS TOUGH TG-830 his. The STYLUS TOUGH TG-830 iHS is a 16 Megapixel camera and is equipped with the BSI CMOS sensor. The camera is waterproof up to a depth of 10 meters and is also shockproof and very sturdy.
The camera is enabled to take high speed videos at 120 fps in 720p. It can also shoot 240fps in HVGA and also ultra high speed sequential snaps of still images. The camera carries a price tag of $279.99. It will be available from March and is available 4 color options- Silver, Black, Red, and Blue
The third camera which was introduced by Olympus at the CES event was the STYLUS TOUGH TG-630 iHS. It is also a rugged camera though not as tough as the STYLUS TOUGH TG-830. The device includes a 12-megapixel CMOS sensor. The STYLUS TOUGH TG-630 iHS is shockproof from 1.5 meters and is waterproof up to 5 meters. The camera carries a price tag of $200 and will hit the shelves from March.
